Calcium ascorbate is a buffered mineral ascorbate. Its relative low acidity makes it an excellent form of dosage for those who experience gastrointestinal problems with plain ascorbic acid (vitamin C). When mineral salts of ascorbic acid are taken, both the ascorbic acid and the mineral disassociate and become bioavailable, which makes it important to consider the dose of the mineral accompanying the ascorbic acid when taking large doses of mineral ascorbates.
Pure calcium ascorbate provides approximately 114 mg of calcium and 884 mg of vitamin C per 1,000 mg.
Each vegetable capsule contains:
Vitamin C (from 1000 mg of calcium ascorbate) | 750 mg |
Calcium (from 1000 mg of calcium ascorbate) | 100 mg |
Other ingredients: Vegetable magnesium stearate in a non‑GMO vegetable capsule composed of vegetable carbohydrate gum and purified water.
Adults: Take 1 capsule daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner. If you are taking other medications, take this product a few hours before or after them.
