Directions of Use

For children under 6 years old, crush or dissolve tablets into food or drink prior to consumption; do not allow child to swallow tablet whole.

Infants (0–1 month old): Take a ¼ of a tablet daily. Crush or dissolve ¼ tablet in liquid prior to consumption, do not allow infant to swallow tablet whole. Do not give infants more than 1 dose (¼ tablet, 16.25 mg) unless directed by a health-care practitioner.

Children (1–36 months old): Take ½ of a tablet daily.

Children and adolescents (3–18 years old): Take 1 tablet daily.

Adults (18+): Take 2 tablets daily (if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, take dose once, not daily); or as directed by your health-care practitioner.

For all ages: Take as directed by a health-care practitioner or public official if a nuclear emergency should happen. Take just before or shortly after exposure to radioiodine.
